Thanks to its outstanding physical and chemical properties, it is a popular material when the requirements for durability, insulation and resistance to environmental influences are particularly high. With a CTI value of >=600, the film is particularly suitable for demanding high-voltage applications where air-gaps and creepage distances are critical.

ETFE film SynTherm® HV-D: Optimum properties for the electrical industry

Versatile applications for ETFE film in the electrical industry
The resistant ETFE film is well known for its use in architecture. Here, the material is used for translucent roofing due to its self-cleaning properties.
Due to its high dielectric strength and temperature resistance, ETFE film is also used in the electrical industry:
